There are moments in life when color seems to celebrate its own existence.
"Fireworks" was born from that feeling.
Rather than depicting literal fireworks in the sky, this painting expresses the joyful explosion of energy, movement, light, and emotion that can suddenly awaken within us. Circular forms radiate outward like bursts of celebration while layers of vibrant brushwork create rhythm, depth, and constant movement across the surface.
I rarely begin a painting knowing exactly where it will end. My creative process is intuitive, allowing each brushstroke to guide the next. I believe that the strongest paintings are discovered rather than planned, and I allow color, form, and emotion to evolve naturally until the composition feels complete.
The original European linen was personally stretched by me over hand-built stretcher bars before the painting process began. Every stage of the work—from preparing the support to applying the final brushstrokes—was completed entirely by hand in my studio using professional oil paints.
Although the painting has been exhibited and carefully transported to several exhibition locations over the years, it remains in excellent original condition.
One of the most remarkable qualities of this painting is its relationship with light. Throughout the day, changing natural and artificial light continually reveal different layers of color and movement. Photographs simply cannot reproduce the richness, luminosity, and subtle complexity of the original oils. An accent light above or below the painting dramatically enhances its depth and vibrant presence.
The simple handcrafted exhibition frame was created specifically for display purposes. While it serves beautifully, collectors may choose to frame the painting differently to complement their own interior. The painting is equally striking displayed without an elaborate frame, allowing the expressive brushwork and vibrant color to remain the focal point.
Whether displayed in a contemporary residence, gallery, executive office, boutique hotel, or commercial interior, "Fireworks" becomes an immediate visual conversation piece, bringing warmth, movement, optimism, and dynamic energy into its surroundings.
Condition Notes
The painting is in excellent original condition with no restorations or repairs. Please enlarge all photographs to appreciate the texture, expressive brushwork, and vibrant layering of the original oil painting.
Artist's Note
"I have always believed that a painting continues to reveal itself throughout the years. Every change of light, every season, and every home becomes part of its story. My hope is that each original I create brings beauty, peace, and inspiration to the people who live with it."

The painting is done in oils and it is on Linen brought from Europe. Although I have taken photographs during the day, having the colors come true as they are, is impossible. In reality, they are much more vibrant. It is like they have their own life since the shapes and color combination create so much movement. The color combination is very peaceful and serene and has a calm yet energetic effect on the viewer. All my paintings change very much by the surrounding light and objects. It would look great with an accent light above or below the painting. The frame around the painting is hand made and it was made just to give more of a finished look as it was being exhibited at a show. A more appropriate frame would look great. Wonderful for any residential and commercial environment. less
