Napoleon III side table, France, 1860-1870.
This unusual Napoleon III side table has an exquisite kingwood veneer and marquetry. Parts of the outside are ebonized and the top has a central medallion with a beautiful block marquetry. Additionally, the table is embellished with bronze fittings. The flappable top opens to one large and four small compartments and has a mirror. This charming table was originally made as a small work or dressing table for a ladies boudoir.
It is in very good condition and comes refinished. The table ships from Germany and includes shipping costs to Boston.
