Crafted in Provence, France, circa 1920, the elongated ceramic bowl features an unusual oval shape inspired by a woven basket, with gently flared sides and decorative green handles at either end.

The exterior is beautifully molded with a textured basket-weave pattern, while the interior is finished in a vibrant yellow glaze that contrasts with the rich green accents along the handles. Each end is embellished with raised overlapping leaf motifs, adding depth and character to the composition. The combination of sunny yellow and deep green reflects the traditional colors associated with Southern French pottery.

The generous proportions make this decorative barbotine dish ideal for displaying fresh fruit, serving bread, or creating a colorful centerpiece on a farmhouse table, kitchen island, or buffet. Its cheerful palette and rustic design complement both French country and Provençal interiors.

The underside is marked "B.C.I. Made in France," identifying its French manufacture. The antique ceramic dish is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, retaining its glossy yellow and green glazes and finely molded details.
