This is a circa 1970s long and sleek canoe-shaped lathed Teak wood centerpiece or fruit bowl made in Haiti that has a faint impressed mark on the bottom. While Haitian artisans are renowned for working with Mahogany and Taverneau woods, they also made wares with imported Teak during the mid 20th Century.
It can just as well be used as a catch-all for keys, loose change, etc. on a console, or for displaying jewelry on a dresser.
It measures 19" x 4.25" x 1.75".
