A wonderful antique rosewood shaped tilt top breakfast table. Circa 1860.
The table's shaped top has thumb moulded segmented edging, with baluster pedestal. It stands on Rococo legs, with acanthus leaf carved decoration, on the original brass castors.
Structurally very solid for this design of table, it retains the original brass lever which works well. It could still work well for dining, there is some slight movement to the top down to not being fixed, but it is a good example. In very good clean condition.
Veneered in figured rosewood over solid mahogany. The legs are made in solid rosewood.
I will be packing the table top separately for despatch.
Additional dimensions information:
The table is 155cm high when tilted.
