An interesting French early 19th century side table from Brittany. Its smooth, polished rectangular top of two quarter sawn elm planks has a molded edge with rounded corners and sits above a single drawer using an original brass ring pull. The apron stuns with a fluted pattern that wraps around the entire piece all hand-carved to meticulous repetition. Simple, turned legs are joined by elegantly curved stretchers to the sides and one straight bar in between. Truly an eye catcher, this table would be an excellent addition to any space as a side table, bedside, or console. Be sure to view all the images to see the wonderful details of this antique. Circa 1820.
