Stylish durability meets patriotic panache in this hand knotted wool antique Persian Heriz rug. The intrinsic geometric design and traditional color palette woven into this piece work together creating a relaxed yet elevated feel such as American traditional or even Nautical chic. The abrashed red field contains a large-scale superimposed octofoil medallion anchored with flaming palmette pendants at either end. An allover pattern composed of stylized florals, blooming palmettes, serrated leaves and amorphous organic shapes further ornament the field. Radiating from the corners are equally intricate spandrels echoing the designs within the field.
