this is just a great original piece. It has been years since I had an original hayley lever work. He is a wonderful artist and living in massachusetts I see quite a few of them in private collections as well as ones that come to market. I was very excited to see this one for sale and was even more excited to purchase it. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included his biography below. I have seen his work on mike the cat a few places on the internet but actually this is one of the nicest of those drawings. A wonderful mixed media of charcoal and colored pencil with the image measuring 19 1/2 x 13 inches. Signed and dated lower right corner. Drawing is in wonderful condition with just a few small issues. There are some spotting to the page in the outer areas but nothing too bad. A few minor handling creases and marks as well but again nothing too bad. There is an edge tear that was repaired long ago with tape on the back. Drawing is taped at the top into the original matte. Original painted black oak (i think) wood frame is complimentary and ready to hang. To make it even better is the original label on the back. It has all the details of the work as well as the artist's signature. It also has an original auction label from nearly 30 years ago when it was acquired by the family that I acquired from. Just a wonderful and complete presentation. Frame measures 25 3/4 x 19 1/2 inches. See less
