This is an antique wall mirror. An Italian, gilt gesso and glass ornate overmantle mirror, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
Delightfully ornate mirror, ideal throughout the home
Displays a desirable aged patina
Crafted in gilt gesso with wonderful golden hues across the fascinating finish
Later mirror plate presents a desirable light foxing, whilst retaining a fine reflection
Striking frame hosts flying birds, shell motif and foliate detail to great effect
Dressed to the reverse with a pair of brass hoops for ease of mounting
