A tribal Bokhara runner hand-knotted with an all-wool pile on a cotton foundation. This oriental rug features rows of small repeating medallions set against a gray background. It is new and in excellent condition.

Bokhara rugs have small, repeating geometric designs woven with fine wool. The most common Bokhara design consists of rows of “Tekke” guls or medallions (the Tekkes were one of the Turkmen tribes). Bokhara rugs are made in Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.
