The proper name for this piece of furniture is brandy board, a place to store and serve your fine spirits, but it can also be used as a small server. It is done in mahogany veneer with boxwood inlay all around the top, drawers, doors and legs. The four doors are opened with the key (shown in pictures 3 and 4), and the left door under the drawer is opened by releasing a latch on the inside. I photographed this piece outside on a sunny day, which allowed me to capture the rich grain of the top (refer to pictures 4, 5 and 6). The elegant manufacturer's plate is attached to the inside of the drawer and shows the name of Kittinger in all capital letters and the model number of 2207 (refer to picture 11). This is a vintage piece of furniture, so it does have signs of use and imperfections, most notably at the bottom of the six legs (refer to picture 9 for a close-up view of one leg). The back leg on the left side has some discoloration to it (refer to picture 13). There are some faint scratches on the top towards the back (refer to picture 14). In spite of these imperfections, this brandy board is still a beautiful reproduction of a classic design.
This brandy board is 49" wide, 37.5" high and 22" deep.
