This is a colorful op art abstract painting in kaleidoscopic or game board style. Titled "Rose Window Variations", Series 30, acrylic and marker. Rich bold colors and geometric shapes pull you into the center eye of the painting. Measures a large 36" x 36", framed in black. No signature, but dated on back 4/96. . J. H. Henig is a well listed American artist renowned for his colorful op art designs.
Condition: a couple of light scuffs to the painting and a spot of paint loss to the lower right corner (please see photos). Some light loss throughout to the geometric lines, which is the part that was done with marker. Some warping to the lower left side, but you really have to examine the painting closely to see it. I was not able to capture that in a photo. There is a faint vertical line that runs through the center of the painting, but that is the way it was made. None of these are major issues and the painting remains a visual feast. Please examine all photos closely and feel free to ask any questions you may have prior to purchase.
