78140 Vintage Turkish Sparta Rug, 07'07 x 11'01.
Emulating traditional sensibility and refined elegance, this vintage Turkish Sparta rug appears like a sumptuous Italian velvet, recalling the rich and luxurious design furnishings of a bygone era such as the reign of King James I in Jacobean England. The intricate botanical design and sophisticated color palette woven into this piece work together creating a timeless appeal. Taking center stage is a cusped medallion anchored with palmette pendants surrounded by a collection of floral urn vases. Opulent frondescence with ornate decorative detailing boast from the elaborate corner spandrels. It is framed with a palmette meander border flanked with a double inner and outer guard band.
Rendered in variegated shades of red, blue, beige, tan, green, cerulean, rose, brown, sky blue, verdigris and black with other accent colors.
