Self-portrait of the artist, in a pensive seated pose, by Lise Lang Crowley (American, 20th century). Signed "L" lower right and signed "Lise Lang Crowley" on verso. Presented in a rustic silver gilt frame. Image, 30"H x 24"W.
The artist states: “I was born and raised in western South Dakota. I found studio arts after a career in show business as "Lise Lang". After relocating to the Santa Cruz area I began studying drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media. Santa Cruz is a wonderful place for artists. There are many great teachers and inspiration from nature all around us.”
Lise is known for her work on "Xanadu" (1980) "Dancer" and "Popcorn Girl", "Shag" (1989) and "One from the Heart" (1981).
Her recent works include abstracts, florals and pet portraits.
