Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this storage trunk features a rectangular silhouette complimented by a reddish brown lacquer boasting a greatly weathered patina. The rectangular lid opens thanks to a brass Ming style clasp to reveal a wallpaper lined interior showcasing a label at the top. The sides each present a C-scroll handle on circular backplates, while the back reveals the two hinges securing the top. The piece is in good condition for its age but with obvious signs of aging visible on the worn leather. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. With its simple lines and distressed patina, this Chinese Qing Dynasty period lacquered leather trunk from the 19th century, will make for a great addition to any living room or bedroom!. See less
