Drawing immediate attention is its exquisitely carved back. The craftsmanship on display is truly remarkable, with the sides adorned by captivating barley twists, each elegantly crowned with a finial.

Both the center panel of the chair's back and its seat are adorned with a lavish velour-style upholstery, radiating a pumpkin orange hue. This opulent fabric exudes an aura of luxury and provides an inviting and cozy seating experience akin to that of a small throne.

The front legs of the chair are designed in the classic cabriole style, and carved accents at the outward-facing curves further enhance the chair's intricate detailing.

Condition Notes: Overall, we consider this chair to be in good condition for its age with signs of wear and use only … moreOverall, we consider this chair to be in good condition for its age with signs of wear and use only adding to its unique character and charm. The upholstery is clean overall, but there are a few light spots on the fabric. The left finial has a small chip, and there is some cracking toward the lower part of the left side post, as shown. It appears some light glue was used to help repair the crack within the barley twist. There is a slight gap at the joint where the top of the carved back meets the top of the left side post, and although the back legs exhibit a very minor wobble, the chair remains stable, sturdy and comfortable to sit in. We have shown the most noteworthy signs of wear in the photos, but please also zoom-in on the photos to get the best idea of this piece's condition. less
