Circa Very … Read more This Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Apple Farm Gathering Basket from the State of Maine. Circa Very Early 1900s. It is Completely and Substantially Hand Made out of Heavy Gauge Steam Bent Oak Slats with Steel Brad Fasteners. It has a Heavy Gauge Steel Wire Swing Style Carry Handle that is Mounted with a Lathe Turned Wood Handle. The Thick Bottom Panel Appears to be Pine Wood. It is in Very Very Good Strong - Sound - Usable Condition. It has Been Used Over the Years and Along the Way has Acquired That Wonderful Honest Aged Rustic Color - Texture & Patina that Cannot be Duplicated - Displays Beautifully. Note that The Wire Swing Handle is Slightly Bent Out of Shape but Still Perfectly Functional. By the way I Actually Recently Purchased This Basket in the Down East Coastal Maine.
Basket Itself Measures 9 1/2 inches Tall at the Top Rim x 14 1/4 inches Long x 14 1/4 inches Wide.
It Measures Approx. 18 Tall with the Handle Fully Extended in the Upright - Carry Position.
