An important pair of baluster vases in jade-coloured opaline with gilt brass mountings, the shoulders decorated with garlands of laurels … Read more An important pair of baluster vases in jade-coloured opaline with gilt brass mountings, the shoulders decorated with garlands of laurels topped by an openwork gallery surrounding the neck, the opening of which is highlighted by a gilt brass projecting rim. The slender body is housed in a rounded base with projecting gadroons and a frieze of posts. The rim of the body is decorated with garlands of flowers supported by fluted columns surmounted by satyr heads and ending in four lion paws. Each vase rests on a stepped circular base carved with foliage. Diameter of the base: 17 cm / 6.69 in. See less
