Vintage Nautical Acrylic Painting by Edward Cathony, Circa 1950s. Small scale framed work of a long schooner-style boat with elongated masts dressed in multicolor sails. Using rapid yet precise brushwork, Cathony faintly rendered fishermen aboard the vessel, grounded with the sea in a wash of blues. Signed in the lower right corner of the work “CATHONY.” Mid-century era. original frame shop label on the reverse.
