Enameled and golden ceramic vase the sesto fiorentino colonnade. Italy, 50s origin italy period 50s marks the colonnade the manufacture for the production of dishes and artistic ceramics' colonnata ceramic society is founded in sesto fiorentino, in the province of florence in 1891 by vittorio buccarelli, ugo ciapini, alfredo contini, aristodemo puliti, ugo tacconi and olympus zoppi. After a first production in eclectic style, over the years between the 19th and 20th century, the manufacture obtains great results thanks to a high quality liberty production often made by great painters such as giovan battista ciampi. In 1893 the first recognition came, a gold medal at the world's columbian exposition in chicago, which allows him to increase production and increase the number of employees who in 1896 reached 20 units. In 1900 the company was present with its artifacts at the paris universal exhibition. From the second half of the first decade, until 1912, he worked at the company, as a painter and decorator alfredo ciulli. Starting from the end of the first decade of the century collaborates with the manufacture, for a short period, the ceramist zulimo aretini. In 1913 the company acquired a building and some land to obtain the new factory. After the problems caused by the war, which almost hit production, in the 1920s the 'colonnades' produced, dishes and ceramics of furniture and use in the twentieth century style often decorated with the airbrush. Among the collaborators active at the manufacture around the twenty-three 1920s we mention mario filippucci and vittorio faggi. The manufacture ceases production in 1937 and, in 1938, it was sold to the italian ceramic art "owned by giorgio barraud, wais guarnieri and in the messeri who continues the production under the denomination 'art of italian ceramics la colonnata'. In the years immediately following the second world guerra, a new company with 'colonnata' company name is founded in sesto fiorentino in the premises of via f. Berletti 15. The production, consisting of ceramics and terraces of use, for the home and furniture in rustic and modern style it reaches levels of a certain interest in the decorations made to the airbrush. In 1964 the company, still active today, is purchased by arduino conforti and lelio fiorelli and took the new denomination of 'a.c.f.'
