Ready to hang / mount on wall (back is equipped with a small hole to hang upon a nail or what have you). This piece came from an eclectic high-end estate sale in Beverly Hills that had several Peter Shire pieces. Peter Shire is an active member of the Memphis Milano group founded by Ettore Sottsass in Italy in the 1980s. Shire creates decorative objects, furnitures, and Art in classic Memphis style, with his own bold, absurdist, and often humorous personal touch. This piece nods to his Memphis days, using courageous colors and playing with scale to achieve something utterly unique and fantastically whimsical. See less
