The wooden box is upholstered with authentic 18th-century Aubusson tapestry fragments, preserving the muted colors, intricate weaving, and beautifully time-worn character of the historic textile.

The hinged bombé lid is fitted with a shaped metal carrying handle and bordered by decorative nailhead trim. Additional nailheads accent the curved front and sides, while a small ring pull opens the box to reveal a fabric-lined interior divided into three practical compartments. The exterior tapestry incorporates verdure-inspired foliage, floral motifs, ribbon details, and softly faded tones of green, gold, red, and cream. Each side presents a different section of the antique textile, making the box visually appealing from every angle.

Ideal for storing jewelry, keepsakes, correspondence, or small personal objects, the piece may be displayed on a dressing table, desk, coffee table, or bookshelf.
