Ink and natural color pigments on mulberry paper with later added gold leaf clouds. The whimsical screen features intricate scenes of merrymaking in the Chinese country side, figures playing instruments, and elders playing Go. The painting is set in a black lacquered frame with a dark silk brocade border. Impressive painting on a large scale with an aged patina. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
