This delightful character mug / toby jug is made of porcelain. This mug is stamped as being made in England by Royal Doulton, see pictures, and it is titled "Toby Philpots" with item number D5736; the stamp on this piece dates it to 1930-1993. This interesting mug features a depiction of an older gentleman wearing a green hat with a red shirt and blue polka dot scarf.
