The book … Read more This is a rare first edition, shrink wrap sealed, copy of the book 'Michal Rovner: The Space Between'. The book features a flexibound format, with flexible cloth covers adorned with photographic illustrations. The title is blind-stamped on the front cover and spine, and it does not come with a dust jacket, as it was originally issued. The text is written by Sylvia Wolf, accompanied by an essay from Michael Rush. Additionally, the book includes a conversation between Michal Rovner and Leon Golub, dating back to 2001. It provides an exhibition history, bibliography, and a comprehensive list of illustrations.

The book's design was created by Lorraine Wild, along with Robert Ruehlman and Jessica Fleischmann. It spans 256 pages and showcases numerous color reproductions and reference illustrations. The printing was meticulously executed by Steidl on high-quality fine art paper, including a section printed on vellum-like paper. It measures 10 3/4" by 9 1/2". This publication is currently out of print and considered to be very scarce. It is brand new, still sealed in the publisher's shrink-wrap.

This book was published to accompany the exhibition titled "Michal Rovner: The Space Between," curated by Sylvia Wolf, Sondra Gilman, and Yukiko Yamagata. The exhibition took place at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York in 2002. See less
