There is an impressed … Read more An exceptional early oval covered vegetable tureen in the Indian Tree pattern by William Taylor Copeland. There is an impressed Copeland mark on the bottom, that dates the piece between 1850-1867. The tureen is hand painted in rust, green floral pattern. It has elaborated raised grape leaves details on the handles, as well as on the handle of the lid . The tureen is in great antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Light enamel missing on the top edge ( see last picture).

It measures approximately 13 7/8” handle to the opposite handle, 5 1/2” high to the top of the lid’s handle. See less
