J&j kohn armchair which has been reupholstered and is in perfect condition.
j&j kohn was a well-known austrian furniture maker and interior designer founded by jacob kohn in 1849. The company became one of the leading furniture manufacturers of austria and hungary and competed with gebrüder thonet. J&j kohn collaborated with the wiener werkstätte and josef hoffmann on the design of many pieces. In 1914, the company merged with mundus and then with gebrüder thonet in 1921 to become the largest furniture manufacturer in the world. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
