Available for sale this fantastic Vintage TAPSTER Can opener pourer, nickel plated and brass, barware collectible, 1930s Art Deco, Revere Co. A unique historical pitcher used to open and conceal beer cans of old. Now it just a funky pitcher that looks really cool.
A tapster is a person who draws and serves alcoholic drinks at a bar. In this case this brass and stainless steel tapster was made in the 1930's by Revere Rome N.Y to open a beer can when the pop-top beer can was not yet invented.
The beer can was placed in the small pitcher, the lid was pushed down and the stainless steel built in the forged brass lid would open the beer can.
