Sourced from a French estate, these highly decorative cast iron screens were used to cover fireplace openings in the summer months. This embossed design features a hunting scene with a draped figure blowing a horn accompanied by a hunting dog. The shield shape has side columns and a garland crown. Use for its original purpose or hang on a wall for an interesting sculptural design.
