French Louis XV Rococo Style Large Carved and Gilt Cartel Clock Case.
Opulent hand carved cartouche with original burnished gold finish over wood. The cartel clock case is decorated with rocailles, lattice work and scrolling acanthus. The clock movement and face are replaced with a 19th century flower still life painting in oil on canvas.
Condition is good. The 19th century clock case shows some age related wear. (see images)
