Platform bench with Maple slat finish,. Ebonized Wood legs. This landmark design emerged from George Nelson’s Fortune magazine office to join his first Herman Miller collection in 1946.
This may be a genuine Herman miller, but no makers mark is apparent. This piece came from a property with luxury decor and furniture pieces.
This 1946 design—part of George Nelson's first collection for Herman Miller—was a multitasker long before multitasking was common. It ably serves as a table, a base for his Basic Cabinet Series storage, or a seat. Features ebonized finger-jointed wood legs.
