"A seagull named Jonathan" is a linocut print artwork created in 1973. The artwork is made on paper and measures 32x30 cm. Linocut is a printmaking technique in which the image is carved into a piece of linoleum, and the raised areas are inked and pressed onto paper or other materials. The linocut technique gives the artwork a unique texture and style, while the subject matter invites the viewer to contemplate themes of individuality and the pursuit of personal freedom.
