The tabletop showcases a striking geometric checkerboard pattern created from richly figured burlwood veneer panels framed by warm blonde mahogany veneers. The natural variation of the burlwood gives each square remarkable depth and movement, creating a dramatic visual composition that remains elegant from every angle.

Below, the table is supported by a pair of sculptural curved pedestal bases joined by a substantial stretcher, a hallmark of Rohde’s architectural approach to furniture design. Professionally refinished while preserving its original blonde mahogany appearance, the table presents beautifully.
