It … Read more This is an original vintage advertising print for Christian Dior’s Diorella parfum that appeared in a 1972 French magazine. It is original to 1972 and NOT a recent reproduction print. Illustrated the Rene Gruau, it has iconic Gruau graphic styling and imagery. Diorella's bouquet of fragrant fruity and sweet scents was fresh and natural and spoke to Dior's clientele. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit which continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. Gruau’s breathtaking use of bold color and strong graphic lines enhances the allure of Dior’s fragrance. This image captures the essence of an iconic fragrance as well as the spirit of a creative genius.It is signed by Gruau (upper right side) with his recognizable “g” initial. The image is wonderfully chic and would bring fun and life to any décor. French Dior advertisements have become highly desirable and incredibly difficult to find with the passage of time.
