This is a weighty work of art - weighs nearly 7 pounds. Diameter of base is 4". Unsigned. Smooth concave pontil. The clarity of the glass is fantastic.

Because clear glass is very hard to photograph, I have included multiple images in different lighting. I've also included photos of multiple areas of the controlled bubble bottom area, turning it a bit each time to show the different sizes and distribution of the bubbles.

The sides of this vase are totally smooth, except for one area down in the controlled bubble area. There, it appears that the artist allowed the hot glass to ooze down a bit, which created a subtle, horizontal line all the way around the circumference that you can feel when you run a finger down the vase. In the photos, it looks like a horizontal crack across the bubbled area - it isn't.

Exceptional condition with no chips, cracks, or unusual wear. Absolutely lovely. A very dramatic statement piece. With accent lighting, it could be the focal point of your room's decor. See less
