Hapi Art is a fine art and design studio offering vibrant, statement-marking fine art, textiles and home décor, in artist Kristi Kohut’s signature colorful style. Kohut set out to do the art world differently. She cut out the expensive middleman, ditched the stuffy gallery model, and adopted a direct-to-consumer (or rather direct-to- collector) approach, making art more accessible for everyone online. Kohut’s success shows there is no one-size-fits-all solution to artistry — for her, fine art and digital commerce go hand and hand. She’s happy being an outlier — or more aptly, an artlier.
