NOVA was founded in 1923 by three brothers with the vision of bringing light and warmth to their fellow Brooklynites.
The business thrived through the depression years with their unique designs that were functional, purposeful and built to last. Soon after World War II, the brothers moved the operations to Los Angeles, California. In the 1960’s, they hired Viennese industrial designer, Peter Morelli, with the express objective of designing the best assortment of arc lamps in the world. Many of these arc lamps have become mid-century modern classics.
