I live in the Blueridge mountains of Southwest Virginia. I am very near the Parkway. I can enter the Parkway through several entrances quite near my home. This is a beautiful, scenic place to live and work.
There are still many old estates containing antiques hidden in these mountains. The hunt for these treasures is very exciting and brings me great joy.
I have been blessed to become manager of a small shop owned by a local auctioneer. I can have first choice on some wonderful antiques and collectibles. I also can attend his nightly auctions and snag some bargains.
I had an antique store for 18 yrs and believed that season had passed. I have been drawn back to my love of buying and selling through taking this part time position.
I am attracted to architecture from the past. This attraction flows into styles of furniture, decor pieces, artwork, pottery or just about anything that an artisan has taken time to think through and create. I look at these things in awe. My creative talents are very limited in comparison to
famous architects, furniture designers, painters and clothing designers.
My only contribution is admiration for their works.
I am also in awe of Gods beauty and if God gave someone the talent to create a beautiful object, they are highly blessed.
The items I am offering on Chairish are just things
that I like and can afford and I am endeavoring to offer to a wider audience than my area allows.
I am grateful to Chairish for this oppurtunity.
