They are handcrafted of papier mache and painted in gilt with a Chinese court scene and figures. These antique collectible plates were used to hold the mother of pearl gaming pieces of the British aristocracy. They have a scalloped edge and are beautiful and very collectible. Place them in a bookcase, cabinet or use to corral small bits. See less
