A 24" x 29" scene of a hawk looming over several ducks is the subject of this oil on canvas.
Attributed to Cornelius De Beet (American/Dutch 1772-1840).
Condition: Frame—28"h x 33"w. Relined. Scattered touch-up, including a 4" repair to leftmost of large duck. A few larger spots of touch-up to bottom edge.
Provenance: Pook & Pook, October 5, 2019, Lot 179.; the Collection of Daniel Heisler and Mary Jane Sheppard, Lutherville, MD.
