Please remark the beautiful … Read more Rare pair large and heavy solid art glass table lamps, designed by vicke lindstrand for kosta. Please remark the beautiful design of these lamps, they are solid glass and inside there are like flames, made of small bubbles coming up from the base. The craftsmanship is amazing in these lamps. The lamps measure 58 cm in height and the shade has a base diameter of 33 cm. There are two pair available. If sold to united states, the lamp is delivered with a us standard electrical plug and us standard lamp holder, otherwise eu standard. Vicke lindstrand (1904-1983) was most famous for his artistic glass, but he also expressed his art in textiles, illustrations, paintings, sculptures and ceramics. He worked for orrefors between 1928-1940, at kosta between 1950-1973, at studioglashyttan in åhus 1977-1983. In between the years 1942-1950 he led the artistic development at the large ceramic manufacturer uppsala ekeby with karlskrona porslinsfabrik and gefle porslinsfabrik as subsidiary companies. He displayed his art in many exhibitions around the world and in new york world´s fair in 1939 he first showed his monumental sculptures. He was a big part of development of the two difficult glass techniques named as the "graal" and "ariel techniques". this piece has an attribution mark,
