The lamp … Read more Rare swedish grace brass table lamp designed by harald notini för arvid böhlmarks lampfabrik in stockholm, mid 1920´s. The lamp has an inscription in swedish to the brass base that says "på 50 årsdagen 1943, från skånes speditörförening" this was a 50th birthday gift. See the inscription on the pictures. The lamp is in great original unpolished condition with only minor marks and scuffs, new wiring but original lampholders and switch still working perfect. Harald elof notini was the chief designer and head of art at böhlmarks and pukeberg for many years the first half of the 20th c. Arvid böhlmarks lampfabrik ab as the written full name is, was founded in 1872 in stockholm, sweden. The production was in the beginning kerosene lamps as the first producer in sweden, they then started making kerosene stoves, and also in the early 1900´s became famous as the high end producer of electrical lamps of all sorts. In 1920- late 1940´s they also produced chrome steel furniture in the present funcionalistic / bauhaus style. Bo notini, harald notini, gunnar asplund, alice nordin, alf wallander and jerk werkmäster was the top designers working for böhlmarks at that period of time. Böhlmarks also acquired pukebergs glassfactory in 1894. That was where most of all the beautiful glass shades were produced. Pukeberg was and became one of the biggest producers of glass for böhlmarks and other high end lamps, in sweden.
