This vintage 5x14 Persian kilim is a gallery runner believed originate from the Heriz region of Azerbaijan—handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.
On the Design:
This flatweave enjoys a deliciously saturated red field and black border, with many vibrant jewel tones and accents in finely woven geometric patterns. Connoisseurs will admit the attention to variation in the tribal motifs and the fabulous sense of movement it lends.
