This vintage 4x12 Persian Kilim is a mid-century tribal rug believed to originate from the Shahsavan tribe.
On the Design:
Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, its design enjoys a play of stripes and geometric patterns in rich red, beige-brown and blue hues. Keen eyes will admire especially present cream and sky blue tones in the stripes and motifs. It’s an exemplary piece in colorful Shahsavan rugs of its period, and the rustic old-world charm in Persian flatweaves of such personal nature.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian Shahsavan Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age & origin in a versatile size.
