Klinkosch vienna master's mark 'ap' for goldsmith august partsch - not on all parts existing joseph carl klinkosch (1822-1888) had been taught by his father carl who had owned the silver manufactory 'mayerhofer & klinkosch', having been founded in the year 1830 by stephan mayerhofer and carl klinkosch: the manufactory mayerhofer & klinkosch had been one of the most successfull silver manufactories of the old imperial austria. There was a change in the year 1869 when the son josef carl klinkosch became single owner of manufactory - therefore the company's name was changed into: 'gold-, silber- und metallwaren-fabrik j. C. Klinkosch'. The company's success remained the same: josef carl klinkosch worked as a purveyor of the austrian emperor as his father had done and received numerous orders from his nobility.
