Depicting the beauty of a woman as part of the natural landscape reclining and folding within.

This abstracted figurative sculpture can be observed from any angle. Made from slab-constructed altered stoneware, fired in a wood pit fire allowing the flames and natural minerals of the clay to come to the surface. My clay work focuses on portraying the figure as part of the landscape, the internal self expressing outward.

Final piece with base measures 12 W x 9 H x 8 D inches.
With this wood fire the natural minerals in the clay come out due to the flames of the fire. See less
