19th-century planter in the André-Charles Boulle style highly prized during the Napoleon III period. This exquisite piece displays the typical Boulle tortoiseshell inlayed with brass to create decorative arabesques.
The cover fits into a pierced brass gallery, above the plant liner, thus allowing the piece to be used as an accent table.
The cabriole legs embellished by ormolu figures on the upper curve add a fanciful opulence to the item.
