Coming from the Shahsavan tribe, this vintage 3x6 Persian kilim runner is handwoven in wool, and originates circa 1950-1960.
On the Design:
Specifically a Shahsavan Jajim, the flatweave carries a more distinct take on the panel weave style. The field enjoys nice play of red, blue & gold that alternate between plain stripes and geometric patterns.
Intricate but comfortable, a gorgeous choice with vast applications in its versatile size and presence.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ready for the floor.
