The upper part of the desk is composed of a flap simulating three drawers and four drawers of the same size.
The drawers are slightly curved on the front and underlined by sculpted bronze strips. The drawers are slightly curved on the front and underlined by carved bronze strips. The front is made of wood in the centre in four leaves, with a light wood fillet around the edge and a large surround in bronze. Each drawer is fitted with bronze escutcheons and original locks with keys in working order.
The flap opening reveals a maple flecked tabernacle, consisting of two niches and two small drawers with a cedar front and knobs in. The stained maple flap is darkened with red leather in perfect condition with a gilded vignette, corner motifs and a harmonious central ornament.
The front and sides of the desk have numerous bronze trimmings. The rounded legs in wood veneer highlight the high and low falls. The sides are slightly curved towards the back and in the centre there is a large wooden four-leaf with a bronze frame.
This piece of furniture rests on a projecting base dressed in scalloped bronze.
The upper part of the piece of furniture ends in a diminutive groove with wood veneer, bronze trim around the edge and bronze trim on the corners.
In the projecting top there is a large bronze moulding with gadroons. At each corner we find a bronze drop and in the middle an interlaced motif.
Graceful and elegant, this Napoleon III secretary from the 19th century will delight you with its fine ornamentation.
