This lion was carved out of pine in England during the 1700’s and has since been repurposed into a table lamp. Wired for use in American homes, the lamp has been paired with a 20 1/8-inch diameter cream shade. The rampant lion is leaning on a scrolled shield with a bend dexter and fields of squares and roundels. A rectangular plinth with several layers of thin molding provides a stable base for the lamp. Our 18th century pine lion table lamp would be a lovely accessory to a gentleman’s office, bar area, or living room. See less
